Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to the Harrison City Fire Dept and surrounding community fire departments who responded to a fire at my parents home on Rose Avenue January 22, 2017 for the quick response time, professionalism, and compassion during this devastating loss. My parents are elderly and were taken care of by neighbors and firemen. Thank you so much for all you do for our community. My family truly appreciates each and every responder that night. It takes a special person to be a fireman. We are blessed to have Station 87.

I'm a former resident of Western Pa; specifically, Broughton and Finleyville and was a member of both departments back in the 50's and 60's. I've got an old, terrible photo of one of your old trucks and wondered if you have a photo of it yourselves. The truck is probably of the 40's vintage, was an open-cab, had wooden ground ladders, but due to the poor quality of the photo, the front of the vehicle is pretty much a blare but the rear portion is of good quality. Broughton used this truck as a 'loaner' vehicle after Mr. Tom Karkalla of Howe Fire Apparatus took it in trade. On the lower, L.H. side of the photo are the words 'Harrison City' and I know this was your truck. Let me know if you have a photo of this truck in your annals.

I just want to thank all of the people who helped get me out of my Honda Odyssey van on the Harrison City-Export Road on Tuesday evening November 24,2009. I am very fortunate to have only received minor injuries although the van was a total loss.Securing my car on the hillside obviously had a lot to do with my not having injuries to my complete right hip replacement which was done in June. I also want to commend Rescue 6 and their people for the care and thoughfulness they displayed in extricating and transfering me to the hospital. Thanks also to the good samaratins who stopped and called 911 and loaned me their cell phone to call my husband to get my frozen food out of my car. You helped save a little bit of my Happy? Thanksgiving. You do not get enough credit and praise for all you do , but I and my family really appreciate your committment to the community. Thanks again and God Bless all of YOU.
